Véraison: change of color of the grape berries

It's the beggining of the véraison, the berries change skin colour and soften, sugars and volume increases, and acidity decreases until the harvest. The grape berries will go from green to purple for the Pinot Noir and green to yellow pale for the Chardonnay.

Veraison indicates the onset of ripening and last for 10 to 15 days
